About 'intex store pools'|How to Keep Easy Set Pool Clean?
This past weekend my boyfriend and I set up an INTEX above ground pool. As fun as pools are, they require ridiculous amounts of maintenance in order to keep the water clear. Yep, if you fall behind on the pool maintenance, the water turns a lovely murky colored green. The pool is new, so it has been getting extra TLC. As soon as we grow bored with it, or it gets cold, we will slack off on it. For now though, with summer swimming weather right around the corner, we are decking the pool up and getting it ready for when it is warm enough to dip into it. We've done all the boring routine junk. Chlorine tablets in the skimmer, and so on. I wanted something cooler for the pool though. Something to bring me back to childhood, in our last home where we had in inground pool, but my younger brother and I wouldn't dare dip into it at night, in fear of the deep end shark that we truly genuinely believed only came out at night. If you went into the deep end at night, he would definitely rip you down into the water, and try to drag you through the pools bottom grate. Yeah. We had wild imaginations. During the day though, when the night shark wasn't out, we'd all play shark. One of us would be the shark, while the other sat safely in a rubber raft. Once the shark was able to flip the rubber raft, you then became the shark. It was repetitive, but we were kids, and it was damn good fun. Anyhow, I took a stroll to my local pool store, which I believe is called Leslie's Pool Supply. I wandered around the isles looking for cool pool toys. Rafts, tubes, thermometers, and so on. While browsing for basics though I came across a really gnarly looking pool chlorinator. A Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator!!! Why this dang thing was gnarly, with smiling white pointy teeth, a pair of black cool sun shades and a look that read...I'm too cool to eat you, but if you piss me off, I just might take a bite!!! Hahaha!!! I didn't hesitate. I grabbed the Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator, and was amazed at how heavy it was. This shark was heavy duty high quality hard rubber. Attached to the sharks belly of course is your chlorine tablet chamber. The chamber has a white bucket that you can rotate. You rotate it and set it on the number of open holes you want. Depending on your pools size will depend on how many holes should be open. Unfortunately my sharp toothed little buddy didn't come with any tablet. Those my friend, you have to buy separately. Seeing how we already had tablets home, I simply paid the clerk, and made my way home. I was excited to chuck the Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator into the pool, and let him do his job. In The Pool: I'm humming the Jaws theme song as I place my little guy into the water. He looks roaring to go, ready to bask in the sun with his cool shades protecting his shark eyes, or maybe he is ready to bite unsuspecting pool dwellers. The Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator stays above the surface of the water floating around, while the chlorine table chamber bobs underwater below him. There were no issues with tipping. All in all the Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator is constructed using high quality material. The sharks upper body does not fill with water causing him to sink, like many other pool floating chlorinators. Plus...the Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator looks really cool. Is he necessary? No...but he looks damn cool compared to other boring cholrinators, and it is way cooler than just plopping your chlorine tablets into the skimmer. Pricing and Availability: I found my Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator in our local town pool supply store. I picked him up for $24.99. I wished I would of looked around the internet though before buying him, because I found him available at this site for only $15.99. Either way though, I still recommend the Surfin' Shark Floating Pool Chlorinator. For anyone who has ever feared the imaginary deep end night shark, this is a cool addition to your pool, and a cute way to get back in touch with that inner child that has been hiding inside for far to long. |
